Journey to a Village in France

Journey to a Village in France

Hey guys! It’s finally fall season. The time of year that everyone has been waiting for. And there’s a lot of reds and yellows blooming in Korea right now. Fall is probably the best season out of all of them that has absolutely some of the best scenic colors. Today, we’re going to be talking about a specific place that is perfect to go when the weather is just perfect. This place is called Petite France.

What is This Place

Located in Gapyeong County, Petite France is a beautiful park built to give off a vibe of actually being in a French cultural village. It’s of course not all French-based buildings, considering that the place is mainly for entertainment purposes. However, most of the buildings on site are exhibits full of wonderful art and displays. They’re perfect for upgrading your Instagram feeds with. There are also many French-themed attractions, such as the Little Prince and a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower.

When entering the park, there should be a “Performance Timetable” to inform visitors of when each show will start, such as the Musical Box Demonstration and Marionette Show. All the shows are free once you pay for the entrance fee, so you don’t have to worry about additional costs.

Petite France is also pretty famous for appearing in some of the popular TV series in Korea. Beethoven Virus, Secret Garden, and My Love from the Star are a couple of shows that used this place on set for some of their scenes.

How to Get There

There are multiple stops that can get you near Petite France. Cheongpyeong Subway Station, Cheongpyeong Bus Terminal, Gapyeong Subway Station, and Gapyeong Bus Terminal are four places that are basically the starting point. Once you arrive at one of these four spots, you’ll be able to find a tour bus that will stop in front of Petite France. The ticket for the ride will cost you 6,000KRW, but fortunately, you can reuse it for the entire day. This bus will stop in a couple other spots, so make sure that you get off on the right one.

If you’re in Korea right now and are in the mood for a day in France, then Petite France is the place for you. Remember to check out all the shows and have fun!
